Design in itself is evolution. It is the ever-changing product of its environment, continuously interacting with its surroundings. As with the language of authentic art and composition, design is understood by many, but created by few.
The 20th century saw design evolve from the turn of the century English sensibilities, through the opulence of Art Deco, to the more simplified contemporary style of the late century. The 21st Century, on the other hand, lacks identifiable and recognizable design vocabularies. There is a clear void.
